On descending Yr Wyddfa via the SW ridge, there is a minor summit that I had always called, rightly or wrongly, Tregalan.

This spot always catches me.
There is a choice a little further on, where you can veer right down the Rhydd Ddu path. It's shorter and technically easier, but it was hard to ignore the sunlit lure of the southern ridge that leads to Bwlch Cwm Llan.
This painting always reminds me that sometimes it's just really nice to let the universe guide you.
