Sailing on Elidir
Looking at this view I always feel calm, escaping for a time from the worries of other things.
Introduction
The corespondence
It was summer and late evening - the type of day where everything felt easy. My first run to this peak, many, many years ago, I conked out two thirds of the way, sat down and cried.
On this day there was no want to stop, but on reaching the ridge, the rhythm of the peaks and valleys behind the quartz bejewelled rocks, dazzled me into sitting.
Time felt suspended while I floated amongst boulders at the crest of this giant wave, sailing in a sea of mountains, reflecting on the notion to never give up.
