Shared Solitude
To get to this spot it's a quad-screaming climb. The reward is a wonderful sense of solitude, shared with the occasional goat.

It was late afternoon. To enjoy the sun I really should have kept moving upwards before it sank below the ridgeline.
But I was tired and had a breather.
The clouds were rolling in more than out but at this moment they cleared to illuminate the imposing rocky section ahead. Patches of heather scattered the foreground making a very pretty scene.
At least that's how I remembered it when I was back home sketching out my study. When I referenced my photo, weeks later, no pretty flowers could be seen.
I put them in anyway.
